WebI was finally able to update the firmware after a couple factory resets. I reinstalled the driver and noticed the brother PS driver was not check by default. I selected all drivers and rebooted. It worked after that. The other profiles are still wonky but the "Brother DCP-L2540DW BR-Script3" printer profile works every time now.
