We pulled off probably 100 yards from the main road and backed into a nice little level spot. Some traffic and a few atvs but not enough to make it annoying. WebNot as unique as Coyote Buttes North (The Wave) but also stunning and much larger. You need a permit as well. Time: With the permit, you gain full 24-hour access to the Coyote Buttes North area (‘The Wave’). Overnight camping is not allowed. Groups: Permits are obtained for 1-6 persons. Example: Two 6 persons (daily) groups apply for one day.
