WebDec 2, 2024 · This paper describes a study to identify the optimum main design parameters for a two-stage helical gearbox in order to achieve the smallest gearbox mass. To fulfill this, a simulation experiment was carried out using the Taguchi method and the Minitab R19 software. The impact of main design parameters on gearbox mass was analyzed.
