If you are not familiar with the concept - the bullet travels on an arc that will hit your line of sight twice - which are the first and second zeros. With premium JSB Exacts, that should be about 30-35 yards. Sight in at 20 yards and you will be within 1/2-inch out to 35 yards or so. B.B. WebDec 3, 2010 · Personally I get it centered on the paper at 25 yards, and then go to 50 yards and sight it in to 1-1/2 inches high above center. It will then be approx 2 inches low at 100 yards. That's plenty accurate for any and all deer hunting and the 100 yards is the maximum you should be taking shots anyway with the 30-30. RBK.

WebNov 7, 2016 · JD I appreciate your input. If I had bought it on Friday before opening gun season I would agree. If someone can't get a gun sighted in with 5 days to go then they have big problems and probably shouldn't be hunting. Scope was pre-mounted and bore sighted so I should be close (on the paper). I am merely asking for input on the sighting in process.
